Who is responsible?

Typing and suggestions

Thockomat processes text on your device to provide typing, suggestions, autocorrection and emoji search. The app does not send your typed text to Abkarino or an advertising service. No Thockomat account is required.

To personalize suggestions, the keyboard keeps a bounded set of learned words, word-pair counts and rejected corrections in local storage. It does not keep a complete copy of your conversations or a continuous raw-keystroke history. Text in the app where you are typing remains subject to that app’s own practices.

Settings and on-device features

Theme, switch-sound, lighting and haptic preferences are stored locally. The companion app and keyboard use an iOS App Group to share settings. Device motion is used locally for supported visual effects and is not sent to Abkarino.

When you explicitly request optional proofreading on a supported device, selected text is processed using Apple’s on-device Foundation Models. Availability depends on your hardware, iOS version and Apple Intelligence settings. Thockomat does not operate a cloud proofreading service.

Full Access

iOS controls third-party keyboard permissions. Full Access can permit a keyboard to use shared app storage and networking; it is not an instruction to transmit what you type. Thockomat does not send your typing to Abkarino with or without Full Access. Basic typing works without Full Access or an internet connection. Some shared-setting behavior or optional capabilities can be limited by iOS permissions.

iOS uses its own keyboard for secure fields and in apps that do not allow third-party keyboards.

Analytics, purchases and this website

Thockomat includes no advertising SDK, third-party behavioral analytics SDK, or cross-app tracking service. Keyboard themes, fonts and sound assets are bundled with the app.

App Store purchases and system services such as device backups or diagnostic sharing are handled by Apple under your Apple settings and Apple’s policies. Thockomat does not receive your payment-card details.

This support website has no app-owned analytics, advertising, contact-form database or tracking scripts. Cloudflare hosts and protects this website and processes connection information such as IP address, requested URL, time, browser information and security signals to deliver pages and prevent abuse. We do not add advertising or analytics cookies, visitor profiles or non-essential local-storage tracking. Cloudflare may use strictly necessary security mechanisms to protect the service. Visiting a support page is separate from using the keyboard.

Contacting support

If you email support, we receive your email address and the information you choose to send so that we can respond. Please do not include passwords or private conversations. Support correspondence is processed by our email service providers so we can receive and reply to your request. You choose whether to contact us, but without a reply address and sufficient issue details we may be unable to help. This Thockomat policy describes the app-specific practices; the company privacy policy provides wider company context.

Purposes and legal bases

For EU/EEA users, support needed to provide the purchased app or respond to a pre-purchase request is processed to perform a contract or take requested pre-contract steps (GDPR Article 6(1)(b)). General enquiries and website delivery and security rely on our legitimate interests in communicating with users and maintaining a reliable, secure service (Article 6(1)(f)). Where a law requires us to retain information or respond to a lawful request, the basis is legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c)).

We do not use your information for advertising profiles or automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects. On-device keyboard suggestions are not such decisions.

Recipients and international processing

Access is limited to people handling support and the service providers needed for email delivery, hosting and security. We may disclose information when required by law or necessary to establish or defend legal claims. We do not sell your personal information.

Cloudflare operates a global network, so connection data may be processed outside the EEA, including in the United States. Its Data Processing Addendum describes its transfer safeguards, including standard contractual clauses where applicable. See also Cloudflare’s privacy policy. Contact us for information about applicable safeguards for support correspondence. Apple handles App Store transactions and its own system services under Apple’s privacy policy.

Retention and your choices

Local preferences and learned entries remain on your device until replaced, removed by the app, or the app’s data is deleted. Learned word counts are bounded rather than an unlimited typing archive.

You can disable Thockomat or revoke Full Access in iOS Settings. Removing the keyboard from the enabled-keyboard list does not itself clear stored personalization. Deleting the Thockomat app—not merely offloading it—removes its locally stored app data. Restoring a device backup may restore data according to your Apple backup settings. We cannot retrieve your locally learned words from a server.

Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve your request and any necessary follow-up, or to meet applicable legal retention duties or resolve disputes. The period depends on the request and those obligations. We do not maintain a separate website visitor database or enable Worker request-log storage; infrastructure security data is handled under the hosting provider’s applicable retention practices.

Your EU/EEA privacy rights

Where the GDPR applies, you can request access, correction, erasure, restriction and, where applicable, portability of personal data we hold. You can object to processing based on legitimate interests. If processing relies on consent, you may withdraw it without affecting earlier lawful processing.

Send requests to privacy@abkarino-ventures.com. We may need proportionate information to verify identity and normally respond within one month; where a lawful extension is needed, we will explain it. We cannot access or export keyboard data that exists only on your device.

You can lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority or Estonia’s Andmekaitse Inspektsioon (Data Protection Inspectorate). You do not have to contact us first.

Policy changes

We will update this page when the app’s privacy practices change and revise the effective date. This policy applies specifically to Thockomat; other Abkarino services may have different functionality and data practices.
